JOB SUMMARY:
Myriad Genetics Laboratories is seeking a results-driven Senior Clinician (M.D.) to lead Medical Affairs for our new Dermatology Business Unit. This key individual will be responsible for providing clinical leadership in licensing, development and commercialization of new diagnostics focused on improving patients' lives in the area of dermatology. To support the Dermatology Business Unit, the Vice President will: Initiate and manage collaborations involving leaders in academic dermatology, dermatopathology, cooperative groups, advocacy groups, and the biopharmaceutical industry Provide medical and scientific expertise to the Chief Medical Officer regarding diligence projects exploring licensing/acquisition opportunities in the area of dermatology Direct the Clinical Development Plan in Dermatology and manage the Medical Services team in their efforts to educate and influence external customers Attend key meetings (industry, advisory boards, associations, company-directed, etc) to represent Myriad; deliver lectures to health care providers; and to stay abreast of new developments, papers and trends in dermatology Travel is required up to 25%-30% based on product launch/speaking engagements Provide support to the internal reimbursement team and support external payor reviews as needed Evaluate commercial tools for medical accuracy and completeness The successful candidate will demonstrate the following: MD degree (required); dermatopathology or dermatology specialty training is preferred Strong clinical/medical background (training and/or experience) with 1-3 years experience in a Medical Affairs organization preferred (highly qualified candidates with less experience will be considered) Exceptional leadership ability as demonstrated in interpersonal, organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to successfully communicate and teach in a complex and competitive market environment and to all levels of the internal organization (Operations, RD, Customer Service and Sales Marketing) Proficient public speaking and group discussion facilitation Strong analytical skills and familiarity with medical messaging Collaborative work ethic If interested, please apply online at http://track.tmpservice.com/ApplyClick.aspx?id=1624182-2997-168
