JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking hardworking, organized individual with good boundaries, stress management and assertive communication skills willing and able "to hit the ground running" to teach classes, run groups and work individually with women. Must have good computer skills and a sense of humor. Applicant must have or be working toward SSW or LSAC licensure; prefer bachelor's degree in human services field but will consider other bachelor's degrees with experience. Excellent opportunity for an individual seeking experience in human service field, non-profit or substance abuse organization that has been providing residential and outpatient substance abuse services for women and children since 1953. Seeking a self-motivated, quick learner to work as a case manager for women in treatment. Includes various duties such as teaching women's groups (curriculum provided) on topics such as addiction education, relapse prevention, self-sufficiency, behavior management, etc. Also requires linking women with community resources; caseload of 12-15 women. The challenges of this position are that working with this population requires excellent communication skills, assertiveness and confidence, intense nature of work can be stressful and also requires a high level of computer proficiency due to paperwork system. The advantages of this position are the opportunity for accelerated training in fast-paced program with the mission of strengthening high-risk families who have substance abuse/mental health issues with a team that values creativity, direct communication and collaboration. Clinical and program supervision as well as weekly training provided. This part-time position is from 8:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday with 1 to 2 evenings per month. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug test. Must have reliable transportation and a good driving record. This is a non-smoking employer. This employer participates in the E-Verify program. PWDNET.
