JOB SUMMARY:
Position Open: Monday, October 29, 2012 Application Deadline: Friday, November 2, 2012 (May be closed early and filled immediately based on business need.) Duties and Responsibilities Will perform the following responsibilities under supervision: prepare financial and business analysis and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation and investments; prepare forecasts and analyze trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures, and other areas; work with the Financial Planning and Analysis team and other departments in the compilation of the annual plan and long-range plans; plan and carry out assignments that are necessary to the development and maintenance of budget systems, financial systems, manpower planning and complex planning models; helpt various budget centers in the preparation of operating, workforce and capital budgets; prepare various analytical reports for management, including reports to compare actual results against forecast amounts; and perform other duties as assigned. Work Conditions May require working additional hours and/or weekend work for project completion or to meet deadlines. Requires prolonged use of a computer keyboard. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of: advanced arithmetic, finance, statistics and accounting principles and practices; computer programming and operations; and business policies and practices. Skills: strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills; using a personal computer; and high level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft and Hyperion is preferred. Ability to: communicate effectively orally and in writing; understand and complete written and oral instructions; prepare proposals, summaries and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of grammar and punctuation; see objects at close range; hear to respond to internal and external inquiries; contribute to a positive work environment; be courteous to coworkers and customers; follow directions from supervisors; and refrain from abusive or profane language and behavior in the workplace. Requirements: regular attendance; a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business-related field, or equivalent education and/or experience; two years business experience, a master's degree or professional certification is preferred; a valid driver's license; an acceptable driving record; and adherence to all company policies, including the Questar Corporation Business Ethics and Compliance Policy, and to all applicable industry rules and regulations such as FERC compliance.
