The Sourcing and Purchasing Agent creatively develops new product offerings for our expanding business from concept to launch. Brings new concepts, ideas to marketing and sales on a regular basis. Proficiently works with vendors and internal staff to determine product details and pricing. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: source products and materials needed in manufacturing operations o ability to source domestically and internationally negotiate pricing agreements with vendors ? maintain primary and secondary vendors on all items ? correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries ? purchase order requisitions as necessary ? travel to tradeshows as necessary to seek out ideas/vendors Education and Experience ? knowledge of sourcing practices domestically and internationally ? education/background in textiles, webbing, and printing ? background in plastics ? product development experience ? graphic / spec. drawing capabilities (CAD) ? bi-lingual preferred (English/Chinese) ? knowledge of relevant computer applications ? proficient in data entry ? 2-3 years sourcing / purchasing experience required ?
