Our advanced ceramics company has an immediate opening for a Materials Science Engineer. The employee will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing lithium and sodium ionic conducting materials. The employee may be required to interact with external research partners in coordinating tasks, budgets and deliverables. In addition, employee will be responsible for writing comprehensive research proposals and teaming with other companies and universities to seek and obtain government and private funds. The ability to generate new intellectual property for the Company is important for this position. Employee must have strong presentation skills and be able to clearly communicate to customers. The employee will also be required to attend safety meetings, project planning sessions and other activities necessary to perform an effective research program. Requirements: Education: M.S. degree in Ceramic Engineering or Materials Science is required. Experience: Preference will be given to those with laboratory research experience, especially in material development and processing. General: Excellent communication, organizational, documentation, and presentation skills are required. Must have safe work habits and perform all duties in accordance with company safety policies. Personal protective equipment is provided by the company and its use is mandatory. This position requires an individual that can work with minimal supervision and be able to work independently.
