JOB SUMMARY:
Primary Responsibilities: The Accounting Assistant is expected to Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the Company; Provide accounting support to the Total Care Auto accounting team; Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful; Seek ways to provide superior support to clients and team members. Reports to: Assistant General Manager for Total Care Auto Primary Duties: Support the accounting department in the accurate and timely processing of reports, deposits, reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable. ? Prepare daily cash sheets/bank reports. ? Enter weekly payables payment on Friday. ? Prepare daily deposits and post the deposits. ? Accounts receivable reconciliation. ? Verify that all invoices are correct after invoicing. ? Pay daily claims for auto, life, disability, and GAP. ? Track credit card auto claims and pay them monthly. ? Send W-9's to new repair facilities. ? Gather needed information and pay closed dealer cancellations. ? Order supplies. ? Backup the underwriting department. ? Perform other projects and tasks requested. Operate with integrity. ? Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others. ? Set an example of outstanding attendance, positive attitude, professionalism, including orderly and safe work environment. ? Communicate and resolve customer complaints to appropriate management. Job Qualifications: ? Intermediate math skills are required to create formulas in Microsoft Excel. ? Basic communication skills ability to read and write. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ? Required to lift up to a minimum of 20 lbs. ? Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
