Database Administrator is needed for a Salt Lake company. The Database Administrator (DBA) will be on a team with end to end responsibility for the our 99.99%-available database environment. This environment is business critical for our communication business. Responsibilities include database engineering, design, implementation, planning, architecture, standards, performance, availability, maintenance, and reporting. Position includes leadership responsibilities of teamwork, communication, planning, and setting goals to achieve business results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Database Expertise Architecture * Implement architecture, configuration, replication, backup and management of high-performance, high-available database instances in multiple data centers. * Logical and physical database design. * System documentation. * Monitor and improve database performance and availability. * Demonstrate mastery in SQL, Data Analysis, and Reporting. * Provide expert knowledge of MS SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012. * Implement data protection, security, and recovery plans. Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience: * BS/MS in Information Systems or related field. * 3+ years of Database Management.
