JOB SUMMARY:
This is a hands-on technical position in which the associate is expected to complete preventive maintenance and perform equipment repairs and installations. Responsible for correction and prevention of downtime on production and support equipment used to manufacture and package nutritional products. The Associate is expected to perform these tasks with minimal guidance and supervision on days, evenings and weekend shifts as needed. Expected to improve the design and function of the production equipment, participate in the selection of new equipment, be completely cross-trained in all areas of production other than the area they work in and have advanced fabrication, troubleshooting, and process knowledge. operations are in full regulatory compliance, including the maintenance of company Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices; investigate and document results of consumer complaints. This position also includes involvement of annual and quarterly GMP audits. This position will work with process engineers, analytical sciences, Quality Assurance, and Sourcing in maintaining the documentation associated with outsource bulk materials. Provides documentation for international registration as needed for Schiff. Ensures timely handling of consumer complaints, including investigations, and develops responses to consumers. Coordinates and facilitates contact with outside auditors and certifying bodies.
