Porting Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:
Porting Specialist is needed for a Salt Lake employer. Work with Database Team Manager and VRS Local Number Team to facilitate the administration and assigning of Local Numbers to our VRS users, the handling of porting requests as made by current or future VRS customers. Duties: Attend and participate in mandated meetings to assist in the development and improvement of the Local Number porting processes for both VRS and IP Relay customers. Provide feedback to the VRS Project Development Team as to progress made, suggestions for improvement and troubleshooting systems and processes as needed. Work with the Database Manager to facilitate effective workflow processes and other database processes (Sorenson Database, L3, etc) for the effective tracking of customers. Hire/terminate and manage, as needed, additional team members to achieve company goals and objectives with regards to VRS Local Number porting. Interface with customers field personnel as needed to asisst in the acquisition of Local Numbers for Sorenson videophones, while facilitating the porting of Local Numbers. Maintain knowledge of the service where to direct customers trainers when in need of technical assistance or any other situations. Keep understanding of the importance of customer information being correct in database in order to better serve customers. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in working with co-workers and customers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's or working for Bachelor's preferred. 2 years of office experience required. Working knowledge of basic computer functions. Experience working with Excel Word documents. Must multitask well be proactive. Must be able to work in a team environment. Good customer service skills patience with frustrated customers. Must be able to follow directions in all assignments given keep on task. Understanding that all database information is confidential.
