JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician (Microbiology) to work Part-Time as a Temporary employee in our South Jordan facility. This position works Monday through Friday from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Job Duties: Understand and perform work in accordance with the Quality Management System. Assist in process troubleshooting when results require investigation for products. Proper handling and disposal of chemicals and control organisms. Perform problem-solving functions when called upon. Must work in a safe and ethical manner at all times. Perform daily activities of the Labs which includes, but is not limited to: 1.Logging in samples 2.Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment 3.Scrapping and disposal of tested products. 4.Steam autoclave operation for disposal of biohazardous waste 5.Sample environmental locations for viable particulates and surface bioburden 6.Growth promotion testing of microbiological media Skills: Working knowledge of aseptic technique Prioritization and multitasking abilities Ability to work alone/unsupervised Good organizational skills Good verbal contact with others Ability to work swing shift (3 pm ? 7 pm), with weekend work probable. Judgment/Decision Making, Organizational ability Basic math skills, use of calculators and some computer proficiency Good analytical skills Quality awareness Excellent safety record Good attendance Experience Required: Minimum 0-1 year experience preferred in microbiology in a Pharmaceutical, Food or other Manufacturing environment Working knowledge of FDA/cGMP requirements Must be able to read and write English Preferred understanding and working knowledge of United States Pharmacopeia tests <61> and <62>
