JOB SUMMARY:
The Tax Preparation Professional is responsible for conduction tax interviews and preparing accurate tax returns for members, non-members and MACU employees. COMPENSATION Compensation will be $12.00 an hour. Based on professional credentials, and additional responsibility, this position has the potential of achieving 22% - 32% commission on the gross tax revenue collected. Required training will be paid by Mountain America Financial Services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Prepares all returns for electronic filing and transmission to the Internal Revenue Service, verifying that each return is acceptable and in transmittable form: scan documents provided to the Tax Preparation Professional into the computer and identify the scanned file appropriately, maintain secure individual member pending files for non completed tax returns, assemble the final tax return product and obtain all client signatures from members. -Conducts tax interviews for the purpose of preparing complete and accurate tax returns. -Responsible for collecting and depositing all money that is received using a designated process: CC receipts received on the day of collection according to the Company's instructions: Credit Card Payment, Cash Payment, CU Voucher Payment (withholding). -Completes the daily reconciliation of completed tax returns and the payments for each tax return. Additionally, the tax return professional systems, as prescribed by the manager. -Answer tax questions and implements the Credit Union?s client service programs (mortgage options, low fee credit cards). -Responsible to understand and adhere all of MACU?s tax service policies and procedures. -The Tax Preparation Professional is a guest in their credit union branch location. Aside from performing the required duties, care must be used in ensuring cleanliness and organization daily. They must respect all of MACU?s policies and procedures while working in the office and serving the credit unions customers. -Responsible for accurately stating the fee for services.
