JOB SUMMARY:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of:: ? All aspects of complex business finance. ? Issues, concerns, and barriers of employees newly entering the workforce. ? Organizational development, human resources, and program operations. ? General office software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software and use of databases. Ability to: ? Foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships. ? Create and assess financial statements and budget documents. ? Supervise staff, including regular progress reviews and plans for improvement. ? Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form. ? Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills. ? Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills. ? Act with honesty and integrity in all situations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education: ? Completion of a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university ? Completion of a master's degree at an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience. ? Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Experience: ? The Controller or Chief Financial Officer level. ? Five to seven years of financial experience and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization of at least 50 staff persons. ? Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable. Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the investor?s and organization's goals and missions and help execute growth plans. ? Work with the CEOs and investor on strategic vision including establishing yearly objectives, providing critical financial and operational information, and making recommendations; develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives (opening new operations, asset acquisition, regularly requirements analysis, etc.) ? Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist the investor and CEO in identifying new strategic opportunities, and drafting prospective budgets; assist in developing company objectives and participating in long term strategic planning. ? Communicate with investor and ensure availability of adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs. ? Select and engage outside consultants, and oversee budgetary planning and cost management. ? Research and make recommendations for pricing and other financial thresholds for the organizations. ? Develop and maintain capital and operating budgets. Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization. ? Oversee the production of monthly reports including monthly PL with comparison and adherence to budgets. ? Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, etc. ? Monitor banking activities of the organization, including managing banking relationship and overseeing all account reconciliations. ? Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. ? Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all activities may pass independent and governmental audits. ? Mentor and develop a team, manage work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic; supervise finance staff.
