JOB SUMMARY:

Successful Springville,UT-based general engineering contractor is seeking an Accountant to assume the following responsibilities: - Assist CFO with journal entries, financial statements and process improvement - Evaluate job costs, equipment costs and overhead costs - General ledger account reconciliations - Obtain thorough understanding of clerical functions and processes - Act as backup for payroll and AP clerks - Assist with implementation of new accounting system Requirements of the position include: - Understanding of debits credits accounting - Willingness to get dirty (literally) - Determination to improve processes - Ability to see the big picture while working with details - Advanced MS Excel Skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) - Organizational skills - Team player Preferred: - Experience in the construction industry - Experience with Viewpoint Construction software a plus - Accounting degree The successful candidate will pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, criminal background check and have a positive motor vehicle driving record.
