JOB SUMMARY: Performs a broad range of chemical tests and procedures in the laboratory, which include but are not limited to FT-IR, UV-Vis, HPLC, ICP, Titrations, TLC. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Interprets analytical findings to assess compliance or noncompliance with company and industry standards -Responsible for ID testing method development -Responsible for IQ/OQ/PQ of all new lab instrumentation -Responsible for systems; the interpretation of data, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting -Any other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field. -Highly motivated, creative and independent performer with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. -Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. -High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality of information. -Ability to operate independently -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word and use of Internet. -Strong analytical, critical thinking and communications skills. -Ability to write a concise report of findings. -Must be able to follow all safety guidelines. -Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Laboratory environment which may include long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong and/or unusual odors, lifting up to 40 lbs, confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surface environment.
