Job Description The role of the Patient Service Representative (PSR) is to provide quot;Extraordinary Carequot; to patients and customers through friendly, caring, courteous, and professional services. A successful PSR becomes the patientamp;rsquo;s advocate and works to facilitate resolution of patient accounts by working with insurance companies, government agencies and patients in the payment for services that have been provided. In the Medicare/Medicaid role, the PSR has the opportunity to use their valuable skills and resources by responding to questions, researching discrepancies and insurance denials and following Intermountainamp;rsquo;s policies and procedures to minimize uncollectible accounts processed by Medicaid and Medicare. Completing these duties provides the PSR the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of many on a daily basis. Minimum Requirements * Typing proficiency (30 WPM (words per minute)) * Good communication skills * Computer skills * Two or more years of customer service experience * Ability to work independently * One or more years Billing Medical claims or demonstrated experience in the following: * complex problem solving experience * experience working in a regulatory environment * ability to communicate and problem solve issues professionally and effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization Preferred Qualifications * Medical Terminology * Admitting, collection, or insurance verification experience * Prior experience billing Medicare Claims Please Note After applying, please check your email often.
