Rental Supervisor - Sundance Mountain Outfitters October 29, 2012 - November 11, 2012 Location: Sundance, UT Salary Range: $10.00-$11.00/hr Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Benefits: season pass, generous discounts, ancillary insurance options Employment Type: Seasonal - Full Time Department: Mountain Operations amp; Recreation Description: Shift: 7 Days a Week, 8am ? 5pm amp; 4pm ? 10pm. Must be available weekends and holidays SUMMARY SMO Rental Supervisor must possess leadership qualities that will allow them to guide the team, under the direction of the SMO Manager, to accomplish the seasonal goals of the department while emulating expectations. Duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. SMO Rental Supervisor must balance the important tasks of customer service while maintaining high speed, efficiency as well as attention to detail. Supervisor is responsible for accurately filling out all rental related documents and insuring that proper signatures are secured on forms to minimize liability risk to Sundance. Accurately size and fit rental guests to appropriate equipment while maintaining professionalism. Must have a solid foundation in fitting and sizing of equipment as well as a solid understanding of the differences between equipment types, uses and purposes to help guide guest in their experience. Apply detailed knowledge of differences in levels and types of equipment. Train all staff members related to products, differences, advantages, etc. 100% of the time, make sure that rental documents are signed and filled out completely. 100% of the time, use the guests given information to accurately determine appropriate DIN setting for releasable bindings per manufacturer recommendations. Able to operate micros and handle cash. Perform multiple micros transactions to include gift cards, vouchers, inter-department, returns, refunds amp; end of shift closing procedures. Troubleshoot micros issues and coordinate with accounting when issues arise. Maintainin proper change to ensure proper denominations for all periods of times but particularly on weekends and holidays when accounting is closed. Create significant experiences for our guests through a friendly and out-going personality. Coach all other staff members how to deliver the Sundance experience with our guests. Assist guest in determining needs for all repairs and tunes. Speak to the needed repairs and help guide customer in their decision for best course of action. Follow through on all services performed to ensure repairs are finished on time and as promised. Adhere to resort amp; department service standards. Exhibit detailed knowledge and understanding of retail products and procedures to include: Looking up SKU, Maintaining stock levels, amp; product organization. Assist in retail inventories and be familiar with Yellow Dog software to perform basic retail functions including price changes, adding products to hot keys, etc. Effectively cross sell within SMO to include upgrade in rentals and cross selling retail. Cross sell other Sundance departments and activities. Work with other departments and resolve concerns or accommodate requests. Coordinate with Ski School for the school learn to ski programs. Organize school fittings and create labels in preparation for their assigned day. Perform all back shop duties to include waxing, edge work, basic tunes amp; stone tunes. Train others in back shop services. Assist Manager in ensuring the quality of service work is maintained at a high level. Train Rental Specialist Level 1 amp; 2 in basic functions and responsibilities of their duties. Assist SMO Manager in pre-season employee training. Operate ASTM ski testing device to perform random in-season and pre-season testing of binding systems. SMO Rental Supervisor will have a solid understanding of SMO s Service Standard goals and live them out loud consistently as well as hold all other staff accountable for livi
