JOB SUMMARY:

Duties: -Provide technical support for network, PCs and printers, and other IT hardware and software. -Troubleshooting and researching problems for users. -Recording and maintaining inventory of hardware and software. -Documentation and implementation of West Liberty Foods' IT policies and procedures -Setup and remove users on Window and Linux servers and the phone system. -Provide end-user training and support on hardware and software issues., both in person and remotely. -Administrate and repair production printers including Zebra, Sato. -Administrate and repair production scales. -Work with local maintenance to help install cameras, card access, cabling, conduit installs, wireless -Assist IT and Production with the administration and support on the SCADA system. -Assist IT with support for SAN's and VMware systems at the local site. -Document new procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency within the department when handling repeat problems. -Move phones and computers as employees relocate within the office. -Provide training, service and support to both local and remote locations as needed. -Interaction with all internal departments, consultants, and outside support staff and material vendors. -On site requisitioning of IT-related equipment and supplies. -Perform other related duties or special projects. -Sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, pushing talking and hearing. -Normal attention with the ability to judge distance and space relationships, identify and distinguish colors and bring objects within 20 inches into clear focus. -Primarily normal office conditions; with occasional exposure to cold temperatures, noise, and physical hazards on the plant floor. -Effectively communicates in writing, verbally, non-verbally and interpersonally. Listens well and asks appropriate questions. Keeps supervisor and co-workers informed. -Takes initiative to research, resource, resolve and be self -reliant when approaching projects and tasks. Builds positive and effective relationships with IT staff and internal/external customers. Works towards consensus. Willingness to cooperate with others to accomplish objectives and work towards common goals. Effectively communicates in writing, verbally, non-verbally and interpersonally. Listens well and asks appropriate questions. Keeps supervisor and co-workers informed. -Provides new application ideas to all areas of company where new technology can be utilized to gain better efficiency and improve company productivity. -Be able to work with little supervision and find potential problems that can be fixed without being asked. Minimum Qualifications: -4 Year college degree in related field is preferred, Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required. -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. -Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. -Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. -To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. -Any MSFT or Cisco certification would be preferred but not required.
