Job Description Under the general supervision of the laboratory supervisor, the medical laboratory technician is accountable for performing a variety of qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests, both manual and automated, of varying complexity to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The medical lab technologist is valued for proficiency testing and achieving satisfactory results, maintaining records and documentation, maintaining supply inventory, and in some cases providing appropriate instruction to patients and their family members. The Medical Lab Technologistamp;rsquo;s role in the accurate and qualitative performance of laboratory tests is a vital component to providing extraordinary care to our patients. Entry Rate: Based on experience Benefits Eligible: No Shift Details: Variable hours including evenings, weekends, call at night and holidays Department: Laboratory Minimum Requirements * Associateapos;apos;s degree or at least 60 semester hours of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology(MLT) program (Intermountain verifies both degree attainment and educational institution) * National certification, MLT (ASCP) or military certification * Experience in a clinical laboratory * This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.
