JOB SUMMARY:
To assist in the management of the operations and staff of the Compliance, and to provide support to all credit union departments regarding compliance and regulatory issues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully. ?Performs the daily work flow functions of the Compliance Department. ?Understands and administers Compliance reports for fairness and accuracy. ?Researches and communicates with the VP of Compliance and make recommendations for revisions regarding regulatory changes relating to compliance programs within the credit union. ?Ensures the Compliance reports completed timely and accurately. ?Provides support to credit union departments in researching compliance and regulatory issues. ?Reviews all member disclosure documents periodically. ?Assists in drafting documents, disclosures and training documentation relating to compliance programs. ?Updates and orders member disclosure documents as needed. ?Assists the department manager in training, coaching, and evaluating department staff and/or credit union staff on credit union policies, procedures, philosophy, and department functions to encourage the achievement of credit union goals. ?Assists manager in developing, implementing, and administering projects that gather and report on changes and trends within the analyzed data. ?Utilizes judgment and responsibility in fulfilling department functions using the credit union policies and the hierarchy of decision making. ?Complies with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC (funds availability), Regulation DD (TIS) and other regulations as required by law as it relates to his/her position. ?Performs other duties as assigned. Experience Five to ten years of similar or related experience Education Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) Computer/Office Equipment Skills Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.) Managerial Responsibility Has supervisory/managerial responsibilities that are usually partial or part-time, and/or restricted to assigning work and supervising the efforts of a small subordinate group of employees (typically up to 3). Much of the time is spent performing work of the type supervised. Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Language Skills Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form. Compliance The degree to which the employee has knowledge of and complies with all regulations as required by law and credit union policies and procedures as it relates to his/her position. Compliance with all regulations as required by law, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FACT Act, GLBA, Regulation CC (funds availability), Regulation DD (TIS) and other regulations as required by law as it relates to his/her position. Other Skills and Abilities Must have a thorough knowledge in regulations related to credit union compliance. Must have a thorough understanding of credit union policies and procedures. Must be adept at problem-solving and interact well with people. Must be detail oriented. Able to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
