JOB SUMMARY:
Fantastic opportunity to manage and continue the growth of the exterior siding category for Stock Building Supply in the Salt Lake City area. Business has doubled in the last year and is anticipated to do so again next year. Other duties include: - Develop, coordinate and execute sales strategies with Market Manager and Outside/Inside Sales Reps. Create sales strategies and actions plans to remove barriers and penetrate the exterior siding market. - Strategic review and negotiations with vendors, suppliers and manufacturers. - Effectively communicate with diverse levels of customers, vendors and associates. - Establish, assess, develop and manage a performance driven sales team. - Implement and align sales team strategies with market specific profit/sales goals and strategies. - Engage in regular one on one portfolio and development reviews with sales team members to ensure sales growth and effective performance management in this segment. - Regularly provide market intelligence and feedback; including team and individual performance, pricing, competition and segment market developments to Market Leadership. - Secure and develop associate talent pool to ensure successful retention and promotional standards. - Develop high functioning partnership Regional Sales Mgrs, Credit, Finance, Sourcing, Purchasing, HR and vendors. - Facilitate strong communication through regular market-wide sales meetings and participation in Market-level Manager Meetings. - Open communication with all levels regarding market challenges, solutions and business impacts. - Provide input and assistance in the development and implementation of overall market planning. - Manage product segment budget to ensure financial perfomance. Qualifications: - Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience. - Demonstrated management experience, working knowledge of sales forecasting and analysis, as well as strong sales and marketing skills. - Working knowledge of accounting principles. - Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office. - Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, adept at leading sales representatives and capable of negotiating purchasing programs with vendors, finding and building relationships with installers and coordinating construction schedules. - Successful candidate will have a working knowledge of exterior sidings and related products, including: --Certainteed --LP Smartside --James Hardie Experience Required: - Minimum of 5 years sales experience in similar industry (building material supplier is ideal). - Minimum of 3 years management experience in similar role. - Experience working with exterior siding products.
