JOB SUMMARY:
To assist in the operations of the Risk Management Department in the area of IT Risk which includes information security risk and technology risk. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully. ?Provides support to all credit union departments regarding vendor management, ERM (Enterprise Risk Management), or other risk related processes within the credit union. ?Assists in the oversight and maintenance of key IT and technology risk management and regulatory programs to ensure ongoing compliance as risks change. ?Recommends plans to determine how to avoid, reduce, accept, or transfer risks. ?Works with various business units within the organization to offer advice on potential risks to the security of the company and its assets. ?Performs the daily work flow functions of the Risk Management Department as they relate to IT and technology functions. Assists in the planning, designing, and implementing an overall IT risk management process that fits into the credit union?s global ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) Program. ?Understands and administers risk related programs, which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating risks affecting the business. ?Creates risk reporting tools/documents in an appropriate manner for various audiences, for example to business unit heads to ensure they are aware of IT risks relevant to their parts of the business and to individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks. ?Researches and communicates with the AVP of IT Risk Management and makes recommendations for revisions to risk related programs within the credit union. ?Develops and implements controls analysis and risk assessments timely and accurately, under the guidance of the AVP of IT Risk Management plan. ?Provides support to credit union departments in identifying and mitigating risks to complete risk assessments. ?Assists in the development and maintenance of polices and procedures that comply with internal and external agency requirements mandated by the NCUA or other regulatory bodies relative to IT and technology.
