JOB SUMMARY:

The Assembler operates on a daily basis inside a Controlled Environment Manufacturing Facility (CEMA) and is required to wear protective coverall and other protective clothing (e.g., beard and hair covers, hood, gloves) to reduce contamination of the products. Assemblers must maintain a high level of personal hygiene (ex. No make-up, fake nails, perfume, outside jewelry, etc.) Assemblers may be required to do any or all of the following or similar types of work: Inspection of various bottles, assemblies, etc., and sets including leak testing, dimensional measurements, and visual inspections of components. Completion of required GMP paperwork, such as Product Histories, Label Control Documents, inspection data and results. Operate equipment via palm buttons. Operate automated equipment systems with computer HMI and equipment systems interaction. Package product into bags or boxes as required. Replenish materials needed in the production area in accordance with GMPs. Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Manufacturing Instructions, Standard Instructions, and other applicable documentation. Meet increasing productivity standards. Attentive to scrap reduction. Offer at least 1 suggestion on a monthly basis that will improve quality, decrease cost, improve productivity or safety or housekeeping. Maintain a clean and well-organized work area. Assist in training other assemblers. Work with various chemicals such as alcohol and cyclohexanone in a safe manner. Understand all quality requirements (ex. ISO, FDA regulation, etc.) with medical device manufacturing. Maintain a high level of quality. Use simple grasping, fine manipulation, and bi-manual dexterity techniques. Perform continuous repetitive motions using forearms, hands, wrists, and fingers. Frequent bending, twisting, and pushing/pulling is required. Occasional physical activities include standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, reaching and lifting above shoulders, and lifting and lowering objects up to 30 pounds. May be required to perform other tasks as requested by group leader or supervisor. REQUIREMENTS: Clean backgroung, high school diploma or GED, 1 year of experience.
