JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision generates loan leads from outside the credit union as well as follows through on referrals from MACU employees and MACU?s professional partners. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty successfully. ?Interviews applicants to determine their financial needs. ?Assess the correct loan options for the borrower based upon the member?s present situation, future plans, and advise the member of the preferred loan product. ?Operate the loan origination systems PCLender Mortgagebot. ?Completes loan application including addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc. and send complete file to corporate within 24 hours of completion. ?Runs and analyze credit report and AUS (automated underwriting system) ?Collects fee, orders title and appraisal associated with loan process at appropriate times ?Verifies financial information on loan applicants and analyze member?s financial status to determine their credit worthiness. ?Interprets strengths and weaknesses for each loan application. ?Cross-sells and records a minimum department quota of credit union loans, products and services to fill member?s financial needs ?Tracks REPC dates to avoid costly extensions or loss of property and/or earnest money deposit, and provides an extension prior to application if less than three weeks before settlement date. ?Stays in contact with members and/or realtors during the loan process to keep them informed. Returns calls promptly < 24 hours. ?Locks or floats rates according to member?s direction. ?Fills out the closing submission form and send to the processor. ?Counsels members who are denied loans regarding their credit and achieving their credit goals. ?Markets MACU to outside realtors, title companies and builders to generate referrals..
