Job Description The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The RN provides the best clinical practice in an environment of caring and healing. The RN has the opportunity to care for a broad spectrum of diagnoses which enables them to sharpen their assessment skills, gain a vast knowledge base, and improve critical thinking skills while caring for patients. Utilizing the nursing process, care is delivered in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards. The RN impacts patientsamp;rsquo; lives every day and truly makes a difference to those they care for. This RN position will work with the Safe and Healthy Families Department of Primary Childrenapos;apos;s Medical Center.The purpose of this RN position is to assist with the provision of care in the medical assessment of children suspected of being victims of abuse and/or neglect which includes nursing assessment, clinic management and computer skills. The incumbents will work with a Mid-Level Practitioner and execute patient care of children and their families. The position will work 3-4 days out of the South Valley Childrenapos;apos;s Justice Center in West Jordan. One day of the week, typically Fridays will work out of the Safe and Healthy Families Trolley Clinic location. This is a Full-Time, 36hr/wk position, however this position can flex to 24hr/wk, if desired. Some on-call time is required. Minimum Requirements * Current Utah RN license * This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.
