JOB DESCRIPTION Prefer previous Certified Forklift Operators. Efficiently pick orders for shipment in a warehouse environment ensuring that the correct type and quantity of product is provided. Move, stack, and/or pack various types of merchandise for shipment. Unload inbound trucks and stage freight in the appropriate locations. Carry or transport orders to shipping locations, or delivery platforms with materials handling equipment as required. Maintain a minimum productivity level as determined by the assigned job task. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned, and may include such activities as clean-up, painting, and minor repair or improvement tasks. Conduct all operations in a manner which promotes safety. Comply with OSHA safety standards. Reliable and regular attendance required. RF Scanner experience a plus!!! JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to communicate effectively; read and count accurately, perform basic mathematical calculations, and write legibly. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Data-entry experience preferred but not required. Ability to read, interpret and maintain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be at least 18 years old. Training and certification on forklifts that conforms to OSHA safety training requirements. Leather work boots that cover the ankles required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to grab, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
