JOB SUMMARY:
The Information Systems Project Managerleads project planning and execution for new clinical applications used in the treatment of patients. These projects center around the development, configuration and implementation of new software applications, but often include the need for organizational change management planning and execution. The position also includes following responsibilities: Possesses or develops expertise in the Clinical information systems knowledge domain in order to effectively contribute to the success of the delivered solution. Leads the project team to meet the milestone-based requirements of Intermountain s Project Life Cycle. Leads the development andexecution of the overall project plan with special emphasis the management of risks and issues, dependencies and resources. Leads the project team to meet project objectives within scope, schedule, resource, quality, risk and customer satisfaction constraints. Works with functional managers in I.S. to secure project staffing and coordinates their work on the project. Works closely with the clinical quality assurance team to ensure that the project is well documented and meets all quality assurance requirements. Ensures timely and effective communicationto all project stakeholders including project sponsors, project team members and I.S. executive management. Facilitates the effective implementation of the new application in the work environment by close coordination with clinical operations leaders. This position will work with confidential and proprietary information that requires a signed IT Employee Invention and Confidentiality Agreement upon hire. Minimum Requirements Bachelorapos;s degree in Information Services Management, ComputerScience, or Information Systems -OR- four or more years of project management work experience in an information systems role. Intermountain Healthcare verifies both degree attainment and educational institution accreditation following an offer of employment. Four or more years of project management experience including management of Agile software development projects One or more years of experience in software quality assurance and an understanding of the processes involved Excellent data management, analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools to extract data and develop reports and graphs for use in reports Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of experience in the development and implementation of clinically oriented software applications Two or more years of experience managing projects using an organizationally mandated Project Life Cycle including phase-gate style project reviews Current Project Management Professional (PMP) credential or testing certification showing completion of a professional project management course of study Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Project Please Note All positions subject to close without notice Intermountain Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V
