Sr Financial Analyst - 084774 Position: Sr Financial Analyst Location: West Point GA Provides financial support for plant manufacturing initiatives, including completion of ad-hoc financial analysis on performance trends and development of analytical tools for use by production departments Uses Best Business Practices (BBP) as a tool to identify and drive cost reductions throughout the plant Supports the plant controller in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial accounting and reporting Provides in-depth analysis of general ledger transactions to determine proper cost assignment. Actively supports the plant controller in the preparation of the annual profit plan and quarterly forecasts Develops standard costs to establish an acceptable base for measuring product cost, expense control, and plant performance Acts as a business partner with the customer business unit to analyze commercial margin related trends and identify areas of opportunity Ensures internal controls within the plant are in place and adhered to Has the ability to serve as backup for plant controller at times when plant controller is unavailable Two to four years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and/or public accounting Strong analytical and communication skills Strong general ledger skills Ability to work well under deadlines Bachelors degree in accounting/finance or equivalent Strong supervisory skills with an emphasis in accountability Experience in the Automotive industry Experience with MFG Pro, SAP operating systems Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Professional Certification or Advanced Degree (i.e. CPA, CMA, or MBA) Sarbanes-Oxley exposure
