Work Activity Center is seeking a Program Coordinator to direct and oversee programs that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to acquire social, daily living, work, recreation and other skills. Responsibilities include: ? Assuring high quality and innovative services are provided to program participants ? Developing and implementing your vision for a successful department ? Hiring, supervising and evaluating staff ? Overseeing development and training of department staff ? Assuring adequate and timely documentation occurs ? Managing challenging behaviors through positive behavior supports ? Creating an environment for daily learning and growth towards greater independence for program participants ? Exhibiting effective time management and follow through skills Requirements: ? Bachelor?s degree preferred but will consider 2 or more years post high school education paired with experience in the field ? Supervisory experience is a must ? Prior work experience in the disability or related human service field ? Be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English ? Be able to lift at least 50 pounds frequently ? Be able to walk or stand throughout most of the shift Location: West Valley City
