About the Position:
A Senior Intelligence Assistant position is open in the Radar and Air Defense Artillery (ADA) branch, C4ISR Division, of the National Ground Intelligence Center. Located just north of historic Charlottesville, VA, about 2 hours from Washington, D.C. It is home to Thomas Jeffersons home Monticello and the University of Virginia. The quality of life is superb. The NGIC facility was first occupied in June 2001 and includes a state-of-the-art building (with cafeteria and workout facility).
Incumbent will serve as a Senior Intelligence Assistant and member of a team primarily composed of senior analysts and technical experts. Performs senior assistant-level intelligence data gathering evaluation and analysis, presents briefings as required, and supports the team in a variety of other duties in the assigned intelligence area. Acts as point of contact for automated data base issues including support to modeling and simulation data analysis to identify trends in data. Provides administrative intelligence production support functions including collection opportunities, equipment, exploitation, publication, database reconciliation, location of specialized equipment or supplies. Researches Center and Intelligence community data bases, library holdings, etc., to gather information for various research projects. Selects potential information sources and analyzes data to confirm factual information and identify and resolve anomalies. Prepares narrative descriptions and other input for reports. Performs administrative and clerical duties such as travel planning and documentation, supply management, purchasing, human resources management (HRM), payroll and timekeeping (P&T). Provides administrative support to division contracts.
