This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Army GEOINT BN, Functional Div, NGIC Applied Remotee Sensing, Charlottesville, VA
The National Ground Intelligence Center is located north of historical Charlottesville, VA about two hours from Washington, DC. Charlottesville is 30 minutes from the Blue Ridge Mountains, 3 hours from the beach, and 1 hour from Washington, DC. Employees for local businesses are drawn from a seven-county area with a combined population of more than 215,000. The area is touched equally by all four seasons.
