Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

ABOUT THE POSITION: 

This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.  This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Analysis Directorate.

Serves as an Intelligence Analyst with responsibility for production of finished scientific and technical (S&T) intelligence products including forecasts and overall capabilities assessments for emerging foreign technologies that could disrupt the capabilities of U.S. weapons systems.

The National Ground Intelligence Center is located north of historical Charlottesville, VA about two hours from Washington, DC. The NGIC facility was first occupied in June 2001. It includes a modern state-of-the-art building with cafeteria and workout facility.

This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled under any of the following titles and occupational series depending on the qualifications of the applicant and needs of the agency.
