THIS IS AN EXPEDITED HIRING AUTHORITY ANNOUNCEMENT. The Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) FY 2009 provides that the Secretary of Defense can designate acquisition positions as shortage positions and recruit and appoint highly qualified persons to these positions. This announcement is open to accept resumes from candidates interested in helping the Department of the Navy meet our mission requirements for the acquisition of systems, equipment and facilities.

 

This position is organizationally located in the Radar Development Branch (Q42), within the Radar Systems Division (Q40), of the Electromagnetic & Sensor Systems Department (Q), with the permanent duty station at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The Dahlgren Division has been a leader in the development of complex radars and sensor systems for over 30 years.  Q42 leads future radar acquisition through radar system engineering, software development and certification, radar performance modeling and analysis, and sensor integration.  The incumbent will evaluate radar performance, develop radar system requirements, and provide analysis in support of certification.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:
