The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is the data collection and dissemination arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. NASS gathers and publishes a vast array of information on every facet of U.S. Agriculture, including production, economics, and the environment.
The National Agricultural Statistics Service is seeking qualified students to perform research in support of statistical or survey research to enhance the NASS operational census and survey program for crop, livestock, demographic, environmental, and economic statistics.
This position is being filled under the Pathways Intern Program. This is a temporary appointment and upon completion of the program requirements, the appointment may be converted to a term (time-limited), career, or career-conditional (permanent) appointment but there is no guarantee. The selectee is on a trial period while on the Pathways Internship appointment.
This announcement will be used to fill full-time and part-time internship positions.
This position has promotional potential to the GS-13 grade level which is contingent upon successful completion of the program and a career-conditional appointment. Promotion is not guaranteed.
The range of pay shown includes base pay plus a supplemental locality adjustment.
Relocation expenses will not be authorized.
