About the Position:

This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.  This position is located at the US Army Cyber Command/2nd Army, DCS, G-2, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. 

 

NOTE: THIS POSITION WILL INITIALLY BE LOCATED AT FORT BELVOIR, VA; HOWEVER, THIS LOCATION MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED UPON THE FINAL STATIONING PLAN.

This position serves as the Deputy G2 for Programs and Policy communicating and carrying out the vision, goals, and objectives of the Chief of Staff (DCS) G2 as a senior intelligence and security advisor and technical authority within the ARCYBER. The responsibilities of this position are to ensure continuity of ARCYBER G-2 intelligence and security functions; and to develop long-range intelligence and security strategic plans, policies, programs, systems, methods, and techniques to provide the protection and defense for intelligence and security operations. 

 

This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled under any of the following titles and occupational series, depending on the qualifications of the applicant and needs of the agency:

 

Supervisory Security Specialist, GG-0080

Supervisory Intelligence Specialist, GG-0132

This is a Career Program Position (CP) 35.

  

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

---

Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI/SCI security clearance

Must pass a pre-employment drug test

25% or less TDY travel may be required

Emergency-Essential position - may require deployment on short notice

Must be able to work flexible schedule which may include weekends/holidays

Emergency-Essential employees must be exempt from military mobilization
