About the Position:
This position is located within the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Office of General Counsel. This position requires the selectee to be at least 18 years old and be able to obtain and maintain favorable Department of Defense (DoD) suitability and security determinations as a prerequisite to employment. DCMA's offer of employment is conditional until the selectee passes a drug screen, pre-employment security interviews, appropriate credit checks, a criminal background record and identification check, and the Department of Defense exercises its discretion to grant the selectee a favorable security determination. An employment offer DCMA management extends prior to security determination is merely tentative, and the DCMA expressly reserves the right to rescind the tentative employment offer at any time before the selectee's start date. Clearance decisions may take 90 days or longer. The regulation governing suitability for Federal employment is at Title 5, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), part 731, and DoD's Personnel Security Regulation can be found at Title 10, CFR part 154.

Applicants Currently Serving on Active Duty: A statement of service from the armed forces that certifies you are expected to be retired, discharged, or released from active duty service under honorable conditions not later than 120 days from the date the written documentation is signed. The statement must include the branch of service, period(s) of service, campaign badges and/or expeditionary medals earned, type of discharge, character of service, and the date of expected separation as well as the date terminal leave will commence, if applicable. Active duty service members who are selected may not be appointed unless on terminal leave before the effective date of employment. Your eligibility will be verified by a DD 214 (Member 4 Copy) upon your separation from the military.
