Come join our team at the Hampton VA Medical Center in Hampton, VA. Hampton VAMC is a 468-bed facility which serves a 15-county area in eastern Virginia and a 10-county area in northeastern North Carolina.

 

One full-time Electrician, WG-2805-10 position is currently available in the Facilities Management Service, Hampton VA Medical Center.  The normal tour of duty is Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30 p.m.  There may be some instances where the incumbent would be required to work after 3:30 p.m., or have the flexibility to work outside the normal tour of duty which may include weekends and holidays.  First consideration will be given to permanent VAMC Hampton employees.    

                        

Area of Consideration: Applications will be accepted from current Federal employees serving under a Career or Career-Conditional appointment in the Competitive service; former Federal employees with re-instatement eligibility; Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) and Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) eligible; persons eligible for non-competitive appointment under Special Authorities; and preference eligible or veterans who have been honorably separated from the Armed Forces after completing 3 or more years of active service. Permanent Veterans Canteen Service employees may apply for consideration under this vacancy announcement.

 

Individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency CTAP or the ICTAP must be well qualified for the position to received consideration for special priority selection. Federal employees seeking CTAP/ICTAP eligibility must submit proof that they meet the requirements of 5 CFR 330.605(a) or 5 CFR 330.704. Eligible candidates must submit a copy of the agency's notice, their most recent performance evaluation, and their most recent SF-50 indicating current position, grade, and duty location.
