Come join our team at the Hampton VA Medical Center in Hampton, VA. Hampton VAMC is a 468-bed facility which serves a 15-county area in eastern Virginia and a 10-county area in northeastern North Carolina.

 

Ten full-time Housekeeping Aid, WG-3566-2 positions are currently available in the Facilities Management Service, Environmental Management Service (EMS), Hampton VA Medical Center.  The tour of duty includes various shifts, which include weekends and holidays.  More than ten applicants may be hired from this announcement.  You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.  Permanent Veterans Canteen Service employees may apply for consideration under this vacancy announcement.  First consideration will be given to current permanent Hampton VAMC employees.

 

Area of Consideration: Applications will be accepted from current Federal employees serving under a Career or Career-Conditional appointment in the Competitive service; former Federal employees with re-instatement eligibility; Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) and Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) eligible; persons eligible for non-competitive appointment under Special Authorities; and preference eligible or veterans who have been honorably separated from the Armed Forces after completing 3 or more years of active service. Individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency CTAP or the ICTAP must be well qualified for the position to received consideration for special priority selection. Federal employees seeking CTAP/ICTAP eligibility must submit proof that they meet the requirements of 5 CFR 330.605(a) or 5 CFR 330.704. Eligible candidates must submit a copy of the agency's notice, their most recent performance evaluation, and their most recent SF-50 indicating current position, grade, and duty location.
