VP of Operations - Microbiology - Chemisty - Food Technology VP of Operations - Skills Required - Microbiology,Chemistry,Food Technology,lab experience,OSHA

We are a nationally recognized leader in the food technology industry. Our company was founded and run by industry professionals devoted and passionate about food science and testing. We have an immediate need for a senior-level management to oversee our entire lab operations. This person will be responsible for all lab and QA managers across the country.

What you need for this position:

- Minimum Bachelor''s Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of management experience
- 7+ years of commercial lab experience (microbiology preferred), including:
- experience managing multiple locations
- strong background in OSHA, laboratory regulations, and aseptic sampling technique, rapid and traditional microbiological methods
- ISO 17025 Quality System standards and A2LA Certification (Biological and Chemical) is a plus!
- Prior experience with location auditing
- Knowledge of Laboratory Informational System (LIM) software
- Preliminary experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, and Statistical software products
- Six Sigma, TQM or equivalent training in process improvement, a plus!

What you will be doing:

- Oversee lab day-to-day operations including:
- Microbiological testing
- Chemical and nutritional label testing
- Establish and maintain appropriate procedures for measuring performance including lab audits including:
- training
- safety
- customer & employee satisfaction/retention
- Provide direction and guidance regarding operational management of our laboratories
