               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Program Specialist, Early Steps to School Success (ESSS) Location: US - WA - Aberdeen Division: U.S. Programs  Description <BR>Save the Children<BR>Summary<BR>The Program Specialist, ESSS is the on-the-ground Save the Children (SC) staff member providing technical and management assistance to partners to ensure the effective coordination, implementation and monitoring of early childhood education programming.  Under the supervision of the Senior ECD Specialist and working as a team member within the State based staff, the Program Specialist oversees the implementation of the integrated programming at approximately 5 to 7 partner sites.  (The number of sites will vary by location and the levels of guidance and support required to partners will vary depending on the specific needs of the partner.)   Specific responsibilities include coordinating with the Senior ECD Specialist & State based staff to identify new partner sites and conduct site assessments; guiding new partners through the start-up process of the program; providing training and technical assistance to partners to ensure high-quality programs; monitoring partner progress and performance to ensure that they are achieving program objectives; consulting with Senior ECD Specialist, State team members as needed, to resolve complex issues; and, ensuring compliance with subgrant terms and conditions.<BR>*Sites supported are in Jefferson, Grays Harbor and Pacific County. <BR>Responsibilities<BR>Training and Technical Assistance, visit sites on as needed basis, support partners with implementation, training and technical assistance to Early Childhood Coordinators. <BR>Operations and Management Assistance, coordinate the annual partner planning and budget process, orient partners on their signed Partner Agreement, review partner requests for funds, provide logistical support to partner staff <BR>Partner Progress and Performance Management, monitor partner progress, assist with the collection and reporting of data. <BR>New Site Start Up, assist in identification of new sites, lead new start-up procedures as needed. <BR>Requirements<BR>Bachelors Degree in EC Education or related, training and hands on experience with 0 to 3 years training and workign with or supporting home visitors.<BR>Ideal candidate will live central to the counties supported, Aberdeen area preferred.<BR>Employee Type<BR>Part Time, 20 hours per week<BR>Save the Children is the leading independent organization for children in need, with programs in over 120 countries, including the United States.
