Some knowledge of piping, fluid flow and thermodynamics as it applies to industrial systems. Some knowledge of regulations & codes. Some knowledge of mechanical building systems such as air conditioning, steam, and water piping systems etc. Some knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and construction practices. Candidate is pursuing an accredited bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (ABET preferred).<BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>The intern needs to be a self starter, good team player, strong communicator, good writing skills & good computer & Auto CAD skills. Candidates should possess demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication and analytical skills, and proven teaming abilities. Candidates should also understand the application of process standards, guidelines, methods and tools. Fast paced work environment that requires self discipline, organization, creativity and positive attitude to execute project commitments. DEPENDABILITY: Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure they are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. This also includes being reliable, trusted, and accountable for completing work activities. GENERAL BUSINESS SKILLS: Ability to apply business principles, methods, and processes to solve problems.
