Responsible for safe and effective execution of maintenance work on rotating equipment, PRV&#39;s, and other machinery in an environmentally compliant manner. Ensures optimal utilization of refinery maintenance resources to support process/unit/area mechanical availability.<BR><BR>Key Responsibilities:<BR>* Supervises machinery skills craft work group and machine shop to ensure maintenance work is efficiently executed without incident. Ensures productivity and work quality. Promotes a proactive maintenance focus. Assists with troubleshooting. Communicates daily activities related to manpower, accomplishments and problem areas to management. Maintains current maintenance records for machinery equipment.. Works to insure QA/QC requirements are incorporated in equipment overhauls and repairs. Serves as the focal point for administration and technical guidance of the PRV &quot;VR&quot; repair program in the refinery.<BR>* The Machinery Skills Supervisor is administratively responsible for the personnel with the skill group comprised of approximately 16 machinists.<BR>* Ensures assigned crafts personnel are adequately trained for their job assignment. Identifies training needs and contributes towards development of training programs for craft skill pool. Provides technical input into development of maintenance procedures.<BR>* Maintains visible and active field presence to promote safe working environment and ensure adherence to safe work practices. Participates in audits and near-miss/incident investigation. Follows-up on safety issues until closure. Active member of safety committees.<BR>* Ensures maintenance activities are conducted in environmentally compliant manner.<BR>* Coordinates with planning & scheduling to ensure appropriateness of job packages. Ensures materials used comply with current engineering standards. Resolves problems/barriers to completing planned job per established schedule.
