They will gain experiences in multiple finance areas such as financial reporting, internal controls, general ledger account activities, and the monthly closing process. This role is a great opportunity to apply accounting theory and practice as well as develop critical thinking and analytical skills.<BR><BR>Key Functions:<BR>Successful candidates will be expected to:<BR>* Perform financial closing activities including journal entries, analysis and reporting<BR>* Reconcile general ledger account balances<BR>* Analyze specific areas of the balance sheet or income statement<BR>* Assist with the preparation of the company?s SEC filings and government reports<BR>* Support audit requirements including internal, external and compliance audits<BR>* Prepare and present working papers and accurate supporting documentation<BR>* Participate in special projects and development opportunities<BR>* Perform other duties as assigned or requested<BR><BR>Requirements:<BR>The successful candidate will have demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:<BR>* BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited college or university<BR>* CPA or strong desire to obtain CPA<BR>* Solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)<BR>* Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations<BR>* Demonstrated ability to solve a variety of problems using sound reasoning to reach conclusions<BR>* Ability to multitask and work on several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines<BR>* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<BR>* Results oriented and strives for continuous improvement<BR>* Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite with willingness to learn a variety of other software applications and tools<BR>Weyerhaeuser is an Equal Opportunity Employer building a capable, committed, diverse workforce                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     </font></td>
