<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Accounting Process and Controls Manager<BR><BR><BR>Accounting Process and Controls Manager <BR>Job Description SUMMARY OF POSITION:<BR>The Accounting Process and Controls Manager will provide leadership for process and control development in accounting and transactional processing. This position will be a key player in supporting a continuous improvement environment for financial controls and efficient processes. They will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of data standards and financial processes and will be a resource for our future ERP implementation. This role combines both staff supervision as well as an active hands on role in development of the controls. Other responsibilities include Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, accounting research, financial reporting, audits and tax compliance, analysis of operational processes/expenses, assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and other duties as assigned or required. <BR><BR>KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:<BR><BR>? Development and monitoring of effective financial controls, policies and procedures<BR><BR>? Project management for key accounting initiatives and improvements<BR><BR>? Support for ERP transition efforts with process design, data standards and transactional efficiencies <BR><BR>? Development and execution of continuous improvement in the finance function<BR><BR>? Perform general ledger accounting and month-end accounting functions including journal entries and analysis worksheets to support month-end results<BR><BR>? Provide analyses of financial and accounting information in support of managements objectives<BR><BR>? Serve as an accounting and reporting resource for manufacturing locations and management<BR><BR>? Prepare and review account reconciliations with follow up on account discrepancies<BR><BR>? Support external and internal requirements for SOX and financial audits<BR><BR>? Create and execute Milgard Performance System (MPS) objectives, meeting commitments and working within the guidelines of MPS<BR><BR>LEVEL OF SUPERVISION:<BR><BR>? Supervises up to 3 employees in the areas of financial reporting, analysis and financial compliance.<BR><BR>EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:<BR><BR>? 5+ years accounting/finance experience <BR><BR>? Experience with ERP financial systems development Oracle preferred<BR><BR>? Prior experience developing and implementing project plans including resource planning, project scoping and generation of project status reports for management<BR><BR>? Experience in financial support of manufacturing operations strongly desired<BR><BR>? 3+ years supervising personnel<BR><BR>EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:<BR><BR>? Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required<BR><BR>? Knowledge of GAAP principles<BR><BR>? CPA or CMA preferred but not required<BR><BR>ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:<BR><BR>? Sense of urgency and self-motivation, ability to work independently<BR><BR>? Attention to detail with strong organizational skills<BR><BR>? Effective at building relationships with a wide range of internal customers<BR><BR>? Ability to present information to senior management<BR><BR>?
