Actively participate in the plant safety program. <BR>•Maintain a positive relationship with plant management, supervisors and hourly employees. <BR>•Actively pursue measures to reduce downtime on plant equipment, identify opportunities and take measures to reduce waste. <BR>•Coordinate initiatives to reduce maintenance costs with Maintenance Manager. <BR>•Follow through with the development and implementation of a reliability based maintenance system to proactively address equipment issues. <BR>•Plan, schedule and monitor the timely completion of maintenance work orders. <BR>•Oversee outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance. <BR>•Participate, support, and comply with all Health, Safety, Quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements  <BR>•Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) when required.<BR>•Formal degree or certificate in a technical area or related field required. <BR>•3-5 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment. <BR>•Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance methods a must. <BR>•Demonstrated project management, planning and organizational skills. Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes. Ability to identify root causes of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence. <BR>•Ability to demonstrate electrical, mechanical, and technical aptitude. <BR>•Must have experience with computerized maintenance systems. <BR>•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings. <BR>•Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. <BR>•Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, communications skills. <BR>•Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems. <BR>•Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry responsibilities. <BR>•Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges <BR>•Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker<BR> <BR>Physical Requirements:<BR>•Able to stand, bend, stoop, climb and reach. <BR>•Able to lift up to 40 lbs. <BR>*Employment contingent upon successful completion of background investigation, including drug, alcohol, and criminal background check. .
