The Bing Ads Monetization Team is hiring extremely talented, highly motivated and productive individuals with expertise in the areas of:  Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Modeling, Simulation and Data Mining. The team develops and applies advanced techniques to turn our petabytes of data into insights; and to drive actions based on those insights. The team works closely with partners across Microsoft''s Online Services Division to enable rigorous, effective, and data-driven decision making. This role is a unique opportunity to work with a world-class, interdisciplinary group of researchers, analysts, and developers.<BR>JobResponsibilities include:<BR>Apply mathematical and/or econometric techniques to understand advertiser behavior, marketplace dynamics and opportunities for the Bing Ads business.<BR>Apply your skills to understand and manage advertiser engagement and demand with the Bingads platform<BR>Generate actionable insights to improve the Bingads search advertising platform, increasing both long-term revenue and relevance.<BR>Develop analytical solutions to improve Microsoft profitability and generate value for the audience, advertisers, and publishers (e.g. Ecosystem health, marketplace performance measurement, outlier detection, etc.).<BR>Act as an expert in the area of economic modeling and analysis.<BR>Design and carry out experiments to evaluate research results.<BR>Be a Strategic Advisor: Provide leadership to others in the Monetization team.<BR><BR>Skill Sets:<BR>Ability to apply your expertise in solving real-world problems.<BR>Expertise with data analysis and statistical tools (e.g. R, SAS, Stata, Matlab, or SPSS).<BR>Superior communications skills, both verbal and written - especially as it pertains to communicating complicated technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders<BR>Hands-on approach to data analysis and a strong focus on quality.<BR>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment.<BR>Basic programming skills and experience required (e.g. C#/SQL or equivalent).<BR>High competency with data structures and systems preferred, willingness to learn required.
