<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Crisis Communications Specialist<BR><BR><BR>Job ID #: 22361<BR>Company: Expedia, Inc.<BR>Location: USA - WA - Bellevue<BR>Functional Area: Customer Service and Call Center<BR>Employment Type: Full-Time Regular<BR>Education Required: Bachelors<BR>Experience Required: 3-5 Years<BR>Relocation Provided: No<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Position Description<BR><BR>Position Overview<BR><BR>The Crisis Communications Specialist role is part of a global team that implements Expedia’s Global Customer Crisis Management internal and external communications programs, supports corporate preparedness efforts, and participates in crisis escalations.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR><BR><BR>Crisis Communication<BR><BR>Implement Expedia’s Global Crisis Communications program targeting internal stakeholders, customers, and call center agents.<BR><BR>Evaluate global travel risk situations and travel industry policies escalated from the Monitoring Team, assess risk of impact to Expedia’s customers, and determine communication need and urgency for internal teams and customers.<BR><BR>Work with cross-functional teams to develop customer communications templates, define communications processes, and draft real-time crisis communication materials that effectively inform customers and support internal operational decision-making.<BR><BR>Utilize and expand Expedia technology resources to deploy communications internally and externally.<BR><BR>Continuously develop new ideas and methods to improve value and ensure efficient distribution of crisis communications.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Crisis Management Preparedness<BR><BR>Builds relationships with key regional/functional stakeholders to provide on-going operational support and ensure Crisis Management awareness.<BR><BR>Works with Crisis Management Teams to develop operational processes and document Crisis Management Operational Plans and Procedures.<BR><BR>Facilitates Crisis Management Planning Workgroups.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Crisis Management Operations<BR><BR>Support small and large scale responses to travel impacting events through internal, customer, and agent communication management.<BR><BR>Provide mentoring and leadership support to the Crisis Monitoring team.<BR><BR>Provide backup Crisis Monitoring support as needed.<BR><BR>Manage crisis escalations and operations as needed.<BR><BR>Work nonstandard hours and more than 40 hours per week when crisis events occur.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Qualifications<BR><BR>College level education required. 4+ years of related experience. Education, certification, or experience in emergency or crisis management/communications a plus. <BR><BR><BR><BR>Skills and Abilities<BR><BR>Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Bilingual a plus.<BR><BR>Ability to make quick decisions and implement with a strong attention to detail.<BR><BR>Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a changing work environment.<BR><BR>Critical thinker who can contribute to challenging assignments in a business-critical, fast changing environment.<BR><BR>Ability to work independently, make decisions, provide mentoring and leadership, and act as part of a team.<BR><BR>Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the orga </font></td>
