The Microsoft IEB Hardware team is currently focused on applying Six Sigma analytical tools and methodologies to make Xbox, Kinect, Zune, and PCHW customer''s experience the highest level possible. The candidate will be responsible for establishing data collection methodology and systems (Information System), performing statistical analysis on the data using JMP, and continuously improving the quality of the customer experience.<BR><BR>In this role, you''ll be working closely with the hardware development, manufacturing operations and finance teams. You''ll be responsible for defining the right data streams and to translate this data into information that enables the correct business decisions. Responsibilities will include: Collaboration with development teams to identify CTQ''s and report on performance over time, establish and monitor yield data to drive improvement, engineering decision support for continuous product improvement, perform regular and frequent ad-hoc data mining and analysis to drive yield improvement, and driving the right decision on data housing and analytics.<BR>Finally, the candidate will be responsible for evangelizing linking statistical tools to Xbox 360, Zune, and Kinect databases to perform ad hoc data analysis.<BR><BR>The ideal candidate must have the following attributes:<BR>Demonstrated leadership of a customer analytics team.<BR>Personally Accountable- does what he/she says will do<BR>Passion to be the best<BR>Results Oriented<BR>Solid in the fundamentals of statistics<BR>Proficient in using statistical analysis tools and analytical problem solving methodologies<BR>Ability to work directly with Engineers and Program Managers to translate data requests into information needs based on understanding what problems need to be solved and what data is available.<BR>Database development/deployment expert<BR>Experience writing SQL queries to retrieve data from multiple, disparate data sources using MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008<BR>Thrives in ambiguous environments-self starter<BR>Able to influence others w/o authority<BR>Experience in hardware manufacturing in electronics industry<BR>Planning and program management skills<BR>Excellent verbal and written communication skills<BR>Teachable and willing to always learn<BR>Ability to act as a team member at meetings and present the data/information.<BR>Flexible and responds favorably to change.<BR><BR>The following attributes are not necessary, but would be nice to have:<BR>Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt<BR>Ability to teach and mentor others in DFSS Skills<BR>Able to travel (up to 20%)<BR>Potential future manager<BR>Quality systems experience<BR>Is bi-lingual (English, Spanish, Chinese)<BR><BR>Qualifications: A BA/BS degree in engineering and a minimum of 5 years'' experience in a business analyt                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   </font></td>
