This person is responsible for planning, reviewing, testing and validation of BI/Reports, Data Warehouse, and data management systems. Works closely with BI Report and ETL development teams to ensure data integrity and continuous product improvement. The Business Intelligence SDET must be able to work independently in most phases of database analysis. <BR>Responsibilities<BR>? Interaction with developers and end users to develop and execute test strategies for BI testing of highly complex, high volume, data warehousing initiatives utilizing Microstrategy. <BR>? Technical architecture and optimization/performance testing using SQL backend services running on high-availability Microsoft infrastructure. Middleware includes Java/J2EE, .NET, Struts, Hibernate and Spring. <BR>? Develops, publishes, and implements test plans. Writes, maintains, and executes manual and automated test cases/scripts in ALM. Develops, implements, and supports quality assurance standards. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Uses SQA (Software Quality Assurance) methodologies, techniques and tools. Validates test data and results by developing appropriate queries and utilities. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned. <BR>? Actively leads efforts that encourage equitable problem resolution and improved working relationships. <BR>? Promotes and champions individual growth within the organization. <BR>? Stands out as a role model for others through daily interaction and leadership example and as a resource for other team members. <BR>? Validation, verification and enforcement of quality assurance measures and testing standards for developing applications, vendor software, new hardware or configuration changes throughout the development or project lifecycle. <BR>? Develop and apply established metrics to determine the readiness, quality, and operability of software, hardware, or systems due for release to clients and/or within the enterprise. <BR>? Ensure that software quality measures comply with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices. <BR>? Develop, write and execute test plans and scripts for identifying and tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. <BR>? Direct and support the implementation and ongoing use of test tools and data collection tools. <BR>? Prepares project test reports and metrics as necessary. <BR>?
