If any of those are true&hellip;Expedia is the right place for you.<BR><BR><BR><BR>The Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team is currently looking for talented and highly motivated Senior Data Engineers that can build, lead and mentor a team of data engineers, partner with delivery and release management teams to support the business by delivering high quality solutions for the Enterprise Data Warehouse. As the Senior Data Engineer, you would be playing a Lead technical role and will be responsible for the building, leading and mentoring engineers through the full development lifecycle of the solution, including detailed design, code development, code reviews, unit testing, build/test support and finally deployment activities and post deployment support. You must have the ability to roll up your sleeves and design as well as build quality solutions.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR><BR><BR>Responsibilities include hiring, leading and mentoring data engineers<BR><BR>Must have the ability to assess business rules; performing source to target data mapping; designing, reviewing, implementing and optimizing ETL processes; reviewing project plans, development and test specifications; performing data analysis; providing development support for existing systems; troubleshooting data and/or system issues; building/extending toolsets; creating/maintaining batch jobs; creating systems documentation; managing and mentoring other ETL developers etc. Provide data analysis and identify data related issues within the Data Warehouse environment as well as upstream systems, as needed.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR><BR><BR>&bull; Highly experienced lead data engineer; DB2, Hadoop and Informatica experience is strongly preferred<BR><BR>&bull; Strong background in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence environment working with extremely large data sets is a must.<BR><BR>&bull; Database development in an MPP DW environment is required and must have an eye for tuning and performance<BR><BR>&bull; Exposure to no-sql technologies and big data platforms such as Hadoop, HBASE or Cassandra is highly desired<BR><BR>&bull; Strong scripting skills to perform data/file manipulation (e.g., PERL)<BR><BR>&bull; Development background should include experience in core                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     </font></td>
