In this role, the MBS Finance Manager will provide financial leadership and hands-on business partner support to Microsoft Dynamics R&D business leaders located in distributed development sites across multiple time zones, as the business continues to make significant strategic decisions that will impact the future of enterprise applications software. The ideal candidate will have experience driving influence and impact through skilled financial analytics and business insights while developing solid relationships with business partners. The right person for this role has experience driving continuous improvements to processes and systems, is able to bring forth impactful insights from data, takes pride in accuracy, and places significant effort into becoming a successful trusted business advisor.<BR>Responsibilities:<BR>Opex and headcount management - proactively manage expenses and headcount for Microsoft Dynamics R&D. Provide monthly/quarterly/yearly result analytics, including key drivers, to the finance and business leadership. Frequently communicate expense and headcount risks and opportunities to the budget and/or forecast. Produce insightful, monthly flash reports" to business partners that go beyond the numbers to call out key drivers with actionable analysis. Identify and recommend continuous improvements to all reporting and analysis processes.<BR>Business partnering - as the primary finance contact to your business partners you will serve as a trusted business advisor and go-to" resource. Responsibilities will include proactively highlighting potential issues and proposing solutions, keeping business partners informed of key financial processes; support ad-hoc requests for data and analysis and some basic forms of transactional support including internal order and purchase order support. You will also serve as the finance leader for R&D activities and as such will contribute to business leadership meetings by presenting financial information as appropriate.<BR>Planning and Budgeting - manage the annual planning process. Coordinate and cascade targets, identify run-rate vs. one-time spend items, and recommend opportunities for efficiencies. Understand the key strategies and priorities and deliver at an annual budget for both expense and headcount that is aligned.<BR>Forecasting - work with business partners and key stakeholders to deliver accurate quarterly forecasts.<BR>Close activities - drive monthly/quarterly/annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, expense accruals, and purchase order analysis.
